Island Escape by Burasari

magnificent resort on a beautiful island. team always available to support, club car is very useful and enjoyable to move around the resort. swimming pool is great and unfortunately it is the only choice you have as the sea is not clear and dangerous to swim. good breakfast with lots of variety and Thai restaurant is very good. rooms are spacious but we had a serious problem with air con as it was blowing humid and smelled strong mould. they tried to resolve it immediately but didn't work out well. getting there can be very complicated so it is better to write in advance to understand THEIR timing of boats. to management: the team really tries its best but i think they are under staffed as you need to wait for many of your requests.

The food!!! So good. Let me give you a bit of a comprehensive review, this island is perfect for a reclusive get away. It's a boat ride away from anything, the restaurants are limited but good. Manage your expectations here, to me this is more of a family/couple retreat. Staff are nice, you can walk around everywhere, only way to get here is by boat which yes might be busy, but if that's a problem pay extra and hire your own. There is the smallest shop so would advise to bring your own snacks/drinks before hand.

The hotel was very nice and modern and clean in room, I had a bad experience through the public tail-boat which I had gotten due to not being in Phuket at the times for the complimentary service To be honest, I would not recommend going at a late hour (we had gone at 2am) as they did not follow proper health and safety protocol which ultimately led to an accident. I was however able to speak to the manager Tee at the hotel who ensured he could do his best for all of the issues. Even though the public tail boat people were at fault Tee had helped to make our few days at the hotel seamless and allowed us to rest and recover and experience what the hotel had to offer. My favourite part would have had to be the fish restaurant by the beach which was exceptional. I think this made the whole trip worth it and would highly recommend it!! I would even suggest doing 1 night so that you can go to the restaurant it was absolutely amazing - the food was so fresh and tasty 10/10 To speak more on amenities the hotel has a wide range of pools and places to chill out at. My favourite part would have to be the pools which they had many of which were clean and quiet perfect for our relaxing holiday. The beach was equally beautiful surrounded by a lot of natural beauty and atmosphere

We had an awful stay. Staff were not friendly or helpful… when we requested swimming towels, we waited until 12:30pm in the afternoon and still did not get any towels. How does a resort this big not have enough towels for all of their guests? Staff didn’t bother to follow up on requests and we had to ask again. Reception was not busy at all and could have handled the situation better. At the Italian restaurant staff would seat you and never return. You have to go and find them to place your order and requests. Their first aid kit is also outdated to such a point where they don’t have plasters for cuts and scrapes. We booked this place to enjoy a 5 star stay, but we didn’t expect the 1 star service and care. Very disappointing. The only good thing we have to say is that the location is beautiful because of the nature… but this can be experienced at different resorts in the same way!

My recent stay at this five-star hotel left me with mixed feelings. While the initial allure of the island was promising, several aspects of the experience fell short of the expectations that come with the five-star rating. The “check-in and welcome process” on the Phuket mainland, from where we also took the speed boat, was far from a pleasant introduction to the hotel. This process could easily be improved. The first impression, once on the island, was more positive, with a visually appealing setting that seemed to hold promise. However, as the hours passed, it became evident that the hotel required some fine-tuning. A notable drawback was the language barrier with the staff, whose command of English left much to be desired. The lack of information provided about the hotel, the island, and available activities was frustrating, leaving guests to discover almost everything independently. The breakfast, often considered a highlight in five-star establishments, was disappointingly average. While it offered a standard selection, it lacked the quality and variety that one would expect from a top-tier hotel. Despite its potential, the overall experience did not align with the expectations. The property requires considerable adjustments, both in terms of infrastructure and staff training. The staff's proficiency in English and their ability to provide comprehensive information must be improved to meet the standards associated with a luxury establishment. Regrettably, my experience leaves me hesitant to consider a return to this hotel, and I would be reluctant to recommend it to others seeking a truly five-star experience. With some refinements and a focused effort on staff training (hospitality, service, language etc.), the potential of this island retreat could undoubtedly be realized, but until then, it falls short of its five-star claim.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel for three nights. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and the decor was superb. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Nonetheless, there are still some areas that could be improved upon. 1. The hotel offers beach access, but there are no warning signs indicating when the sea level will rise and cover the rocky areas. As a result of this lack of warning, both of my sisters' feet were injured while swimming. We had to walk to the reception desk to sanitize and treat her wounds since there was no assistance available. 2. The rooms lacked basic amenities such as a hairdryer, iron, toothbrush, desk, or any chairs. Additionally, they did not clean the rooms or change towels daily as most other hotels do. 3. The hotel had a timetable for travel between the island and the mainland at assorted times. We had a problem when we needed to depart the island at 5 AM due to our flight. Although they charged us 1000 Baht, they provided us with a fishing boat that was questionable in terms of safety, especially during a rainy day, which caused us to be very scared. 4. The pool bar’s equipment (glasses, shut) was not clean at all.
